In what we hope will be an annual offseason tradition,
the GCLA is promoting a Golf Championship among its
member teams.

This tournament is "imbetted" within another, larger
tournament- the Hobby Squadron Golf Classic. This
tournament will benefit the Hobby Squadron Association, 
which supports the operations of the Hobby SR Squadron
(TX-451) of Civil Air Patrol.

The date for this event is Saturday, August 25th, at
Hermann Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas. Shotgun start
will be at 0800.

The format will be a 4-man, best ball format. Each GCLA
team is encouraged to enter as many foursomes as they
wish. The GCLA club that enters the best-scoring foursome
will be crowned the 2007 GCLA Golf Champions!

In addition, any individual player of any skill level
is also welcome to register and play in the overall
tournament.
