Welcome to the site of one of America's newest college
lacrosse leagues: The College Division of the Gulf
Coast Lacrosse Association.

In the fall of 2003, the GCLA office made the decision
to form a formal college lacrosse division within its
framework to better achieve its goal of serving the
sport of lacrosse.

Since this announcement, the College Division has added
a number of eager college teams. The initial "wave" of
teams consists of Sam Houston State, Brenham Highlanders,
Texas Christian U, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Mississippi
State, Spring Hill College, and Loyola University.

Our programs range from those that span over two decades
of existence (Sam Houston State) to those brand-new
to the sport (Blinn). However long they've been competing,
all our members share one common denominator: A true love
for the sport of lacrosse.

Nor does the GCLA plan on stopping there. In keeping
with our league's obsession with expansion, it is our
aim to field college lacrosse teams throughout our region,
at schools large and small.

The GCLA is proud to have among its structure the members
of the 2004 College Division. In this way, we not only serve
the sport of college lacrosse today, but serve to bring the
game to many others in the future.
